Will a substance entering the ear break the fast? Does it matter whether the ear drum is intact or perforated?

In the Name of Allah, The Gracious, The Merciful.

The fast will only break if a substance enters the throat or stomach. Thus, if the substance enters through the eardrum and reaches the throat, the fast breaks.
