As salam o Alaikum,

*  I got an IUD 3 months back for my menstral bleeding. Since I got it ,I get spotting for 18 days. My question is: What is the cutoff day for me to resume fasting and praying?

* How are two prayers combined and performed  and what are the circumstances in which we are allowed to do so?

* How can we read salah in an airplane while travelling long distances?

The Darul Ifta has a policy that you may submit one question per week. We will answer the first one at this time, you may submit the other queries after a week’s time.

If your bleeding is 18 days, you will refer back to your previous habit. 

For example, during the previous month, Zaynab sees blood for 7 days and stops bleeding for 15 days. At this point, her habit is established as 7 days of bleeding and 15 days of purity. The next month, she bleeds for 18 days and then stops bleeding for 15 days. For the second month, Zaynab will refer to her previous habit which was 7 days. Thus, the first 7 of the 18 days is considered ḥayḍ and she will neither fast not pray; for days 8 until 18, she will still pray and fast.
