Shaykh Amin is continually engaged with a diverse following of mentees. His deep knowledge in the Islamic tradition and his aggressive engagement with contemporary issues facing everyday Muslims in the West has endeared him to young Islamic scholars and professionals all over. 

Shaykh Mohammed Amin is a Muslim scholar, mentor, and the founder of Darul Qasim, an institute of traditional Islamic higher learning headquartered in the Glendale Heights suburb of Chicago. Shaykh Amin is an active advocate of the classical Sunni tradition of Islamic scholarship and a passionate promoter of traditional Islamic sciences and methodologies of teaching and learning. He is regarded internationally as an expert theologian and an authority in the fields of Islamic philosophy and theosophy.

Mufti Hisham Dawood

Mufti Hisham Dawood completed ḥifẓ al-Qurʾān (the memorization of the Qurʾān) at the age of fourteen. In January of 2007 he enrolled at the Madrasah Inʿāmiyyah in Camperdown, South Africa. He completed the final three years of the ʿĀlimiyyah program at the renowned Dārul ʿUlūm Zakariyyā under the tutelage and mentorship of Shaykh al-Hadīth Muftī Riḍāʾ al-Haq who is counted among the world’s leading contemporary scholars. Mufti Hisham completed his iftāʾ studies at Dar al-Iftāʾ Maḥmūdiyyah under Mufti Ebrahim Desai and Mufti Husain Kadodia. In 2015, he joined Darul Qasim where he continues to serve as a full time member of its faculty and Dār al-Iftā department.

Mufti Ehzaz Ajmeri

Mufti Ehzaz Ajmeri grew up in suburban Chicagoland. HIs pursuit of higher religious education led him to enroll in Dār al-ʿUlūm Zakariyya in South Africa where he spent seven years studying a rigorous ʿĀlim course under some of the country’s greatest scholars, including Mufti Raḍā al-Ḥaqq, from whom he received formal certifications (ijāzāt).

After finishing the ʿĀlim course, Mufti Ehzaz continued his studies and enrolled in Madrasah Inʿāmiyyah in Camperdown, South Africa. There he spent an additional two years training in the field of iftāʾ (issuance of legal Islamic verdicts) under Mufti Ebrahim Desai, where his studies culminated in an ijāzah in iftāʾ from Mufti Desai.

Mawlana Shaheer Pathan

Shaheer Pathan began his religious education in 2008 at the Academy of Sautul Furqan, Teaneck, New Jersey. After completing the taḥfīẓ program, he enrolled at the Institute of Islamic Education, Elgin, Illinois, between the years 2012-2016. Since then, he has been studying as a student at Darul Qasim. He began teaching morning classes during the year 2020. Currently, he is studying in the Darul Ifta department.
